What is cervicitis?
Cervicitis is a pathology of an inflammatory nature that affects the cervix, that is, the lower part of the uterus. It usually occurs in women who are of childbearing age. Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), such as chlamydia or gonorrhea, are among the main causes of this disease.
The symptoms that it presents are quite evident, the main ones being the presence of a malodorous yellowish discharge in the vaginal area, pain during sexual intercourse and bleeding between periods of menstruation.
