A new invention to censor pornography is under development in China.

As many will know, pornography in the Asian giant is prohibited. However, this does not mean that the country is free of it. The Chinese have managed to circumvent the restrictions.

One of the most widely used and popular ways to achieve this has been the use of VPNs. The Chinese government knows this and that is why it would be looking for a way to counter it. That is why they would be developing a helmet that would censor pornography.

Although it seems absurd and unnecessary, the truth is that for China it can become the definitive tool. From what has been known, this helmet has an accuracy of up to 80%, making it quite effective.

How does this helmet work?

It is not known exactly how this helmet will work.

Although its operation is not known exactly at the moment, it must work with an AI. This would read the signals emitted by the brain and upon detecting the arousal, it would be activated.

At the moment it is unknown how this helmet would censor the content, but the truth is that at the moment it is on track. Undoubtedly, leaving aside the curious, it is a very interesting and innovative invention. This technology could be applied to many other fields, which could bring innovation.

This gives one to think if in the future all Chinese can be seen wearing one of these helmets. The truth is that it seems unlikely, but we will have to see what happens with this technology.

The “anti-porn” helmet is already being tested

The helmet has proven to have a very good effectiveness.

From what has been known, for this experiment a group of men between 20 and 25 years old have been taken. A series of images of a sexual nature were placed on these to verify the operation of said helmet.

Based on the results from this first set of tests, the majority of explicit content was detected by the headset. There are still many tests to be carried out in order to reach a higher level of detection.

It remains to be seen how far this technology can go, however, the truth is that they are working hard on this project.
