Emmy Awards 2019: The 5 series, actors and actresses who were not nominated (and seemed favorites)
The nominations for the 2019 Emmys have fans excited and placing their bets (hopefully symbolically) on the possible winners at the awards ceremony in September, but there is a part of the fans that little expresses or do without much fuss, those who did not see their favorite series, actors and actresses in the nominations.
It is undeniable, whenever there is some type of nomination there will be dissatisfied people for whom they were not nominated for anything, perhaps with merits to do so. This is the case of the 5 series, actors and actresses that we will mention below that not only deserved to be in the nominations, they had a chance of obtaining the statuette! But let's leave the past tense and see the list where we will see many great movie actors who tried their luck on the big screen and apparently did not do so well:
1) Jim Carrey-Kidding
It must be recognized that this is a very emotional case, we relate Carrey to fun, to Ace Ventura, to those characters who made us smile in many movies at any time and that is why his mere presence gave weight to the simple story of the Kidding series, but apparently he did not qualify for the nomination and for now his talent will have to wait at least a year if he wants the statuette.
2) Grace and Frankie
In this case we have a true legend, Jane Fonda, with the series Grace and Frankie that has obtained 45 nominations in its five seasons of transmission, this time with nothing for Fonda or her partner in the series Lily Tomlin. A pity, beyond winning the statuette or not, she seemed to deserve to repeat as a nominee.
3) Sarah Paulson — American Horror Story: Roanoke
This is another of the series that we were used to seeing several nominees with a presence at the Emmys, the horror series has always had a quality cast and Sarah Paulson certainly deserved a nomination. To the case, if it has not been a curse of the film that left it out, it will be time to wait. American Horror Story has a lot of life left in it, and we will surely see it come back with several nominees soon.
4) The Big Bang Theory
Yes, it's okay to cry. Fans of the entertaining saga that apart from marking history as the first comic series based on scientists/nerds, has been worthy of many nominations and Emmy Awards on different occasions, today they resent a bit with the fact that neither the series nor its main characters appear aspiring to a statuette at the awards ceremony, something strong considering that the current year was his last season. As Sheldon would say: "Perhaps his inferior intellect doesn't understand genius."
5) Julia Roberts — Homecoming
If we were to check out the fan pools ahead of the 2019 Emmy nomination, there's no doubt we'd see both Amazon Prime Video's Homecoming series and the gorgeous Julia Roberts. Not only does he come from the big screen with a great waste of talent, with a performance and series that clearly deserved the nomination, he also affects his fans for being that type of artist that his followers never stop loving and admiring.
Well, there is no other choice, to hum the melody of "Pretty Woman" while we imagine our sentimental winners obtaining a statuette, or wait for the next installment.
