52 killed in a riot in a jail in Brazil
In Brazil, an act of violence occurs again in their prisons. Recently, it was known that 52 prisoners were killed after, according to the first versions, two internal gangs faced death. In fact, 16 people of those 55 dead were found beheaded.
Once the problem started, the Superintendency of the Pará Penitentiary System (Susipe), reported that two agents of the detention center were taken hostage, however, at the end of this note they had already been released.
The same prison system reported that one of the groups invaded the courtyard of its rivals, subsequently closed the doors and lit fires. Although several knives were found at the site, the main cause of deaths related to suffocation was caused by him.
"The unit is old and houses two criminal factions. We did not have a report from our intelligence that would provide a possible attack of this magnitude... It was a localized attack aimed at exterminating members of the rival faction," SUSIPE acknowledged.
In the images collected on RT's Twitter, you can see the magnitude of the fire and the desperation of the prisoners to save their lives.
