AMLO and Carlos Romero Deschamps
As is already a trend, the President of the United Mexican States Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who took office on December 1, allegedly seeks a country free of corruption.
The Federal Government reported that Carlos Romero Deschamps may be involved in the crime of corruption, which has been pointed out for years, and it is presumed that previous governments have not acted against him.
According to Federal Government investigations, these reach the stepdaughter of a sister of Carlos Romero Deschamps. This is due to the fact that some financial operations have been identified in favor of Romero's relatives that have no justification, and therefore could be illegal.
Carlos Romero Deschamps has previously been investigated for money laundering while former Mexican President Vicente Fox Quesada was in charge. However, for now, a federal judge in the State of Mexico indefinitely suspended any arrest warrant against Romero Deschamps.
