Angelina Jolie visits children and residents in Ukraine
The American actress Angelina Jolie, was this Saturday in a surprising way to Ukraine to make some visits and activist work as she has normally done throughout her career. Jolie specifically went to the west of the country, in the city of Lviv.
In the city, according to Maksym Kozytskyy, head of the Lviv regional military administration, the actress visited a boarding school and a medical institution. There, he was able to see children who had been victims of an attack by Russia and collaborate with his mere presence.
“In one of the medical institutions, he visited children who suffered from a missile attack by the Russian army at the Kramatorsk railway station. Their stories touched her very much. One girl was even able to tell Mrs. Jolie about her dream in private," Kozytskyy said.
Jolie stated that she would return to the boarding school to continue talking with the little ones. He was also at the main train station in Lviv, here he spoke with the volunteers who provide medical and psychological assistance, since the station is a place of passage where many Ukrainians have had, even if it is a stopover.
“She spoke with people who managed to get out of the zones of active hostilities. She thanked them for their work,” said Maksym Kozytskyy.
In the middle of the visit, the actress had to be transferred to an emergency due to an air raid alert in the city of Lviv. She was sent to a special space for refugees at the United Nations. However, it was reported at the UN that Jolie traveled to Ukraine on her own.
