As the tension on the Ukrainian border grows, the leaders spoke between warnings, and increasingly urgent demands, to avoid what appears to be an imminent armed conflict.

Through the telephone meeting, Joe Biden assured Putin that the United States is keeping the diplomatic channel open, but that it is also in full coordination with its allies to face all scenarios.

In the official statement issued by the White House, it is reported that the US president sent new warnings to Moscow about the consequences of re-invading Ukraine, referring to the economic measures that the United States and its allies are preparing.

Starting at 11:04 a.m. Washington time, a call that Russia claimed was requested by the White House, the telephone meeting between the two presidents lasted a little over an hour.

This call is part of the latest diplomatic attempts by the United States and its European allies to stabilize the tension on the Ukrainian border, where Russia has mobilized around 130,000 soldiers.

In addition to that, Russia has carried out the largest military maneuvers in its history in Belarusian territory, Moscow's main ally and which also has territory bordering Ukraine.

In addition to the call between Biden and Putin, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken had a phone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

The worrying signs of a Russian military advance, in addition to the incorporation of more soldiers to the contingent on the Ukrainian border, cause extreme concern in the White House where they assure that the attack could begin at any moment.

Blinken assured that if it is interested in resolving the conflict, Russia should take the path of dialogue and diplomacy. The United States, in recent weeks, has insisted on seeking peaceful solutions to the situation.

Given the decisions and attitudes of Russia and its spokesmen, the attack is considered imminent, since there are no signs of de-escalation on the part of Moscow.

For this reason, the State Department began the evacuation of diplomatic personnel in Ukraine, sending a clear message about its warnings.

Days ago, Joe Biden urged Americans in Ukraine to leave the country immediately.

On the other hand, the national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, pointed out that the attack would begin through the airways and this would make it difficult for commercial flights to leave.

The Americans who are in Ukraine have received the recommendation by the authorities to evacuate the Ukrainian territory within the next 48 hours.

The Pentagon decided to evacuate a small detachment of 130 US soldiers who were on training and support exercises to Ukraine.

This decision was made out of precaution and putting the safety of US soldiers first.

On the other hand, Putin has had another conversation with the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, who is leading a series of diplomatic negotiations to solve the crisis without going to arms.

In the conversation, topics such as the security condition for European stability would have been touched upon. In addition, both presidents highlighted the need to continue the dialogue on these issues.

Russian denials

Russia has persistently denied its plans to invade Ukraine and defends its position of mobilizing soldiers (approximately 130,000 troops) as a sovereign right within its own territory.

However, Russia began the evacuation of its diplomats in Kiev on Saturday, information confirmed by the Russian media under the possible provocation of the Ukrainian government and third nations.

The spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Vladimirovna, assured that the conclusion has been reached that the United States and the United Kingdom have military preparations on Ukrainian territory.

Currently, it has been shown that the United States handles intelligence information about Russian plans, where they would plan a fake attack that they would blame on the Ukrainian soldiers and it would be used as a pretext to start the invasion.

This strategy in the military world is called "false flag operation" about which the United States has repeatedly indicated in recent weeks that it may be the trigger for Russia's attack on Ukraine.
