Grupo Energía de Bogotá presented a Public Acquisition Offer for 100% of the shares of Dunas Energía on the Peruvian Stock Exchange
Grupo Energía de Bogotá (GEB) informed on Friday 5 today that it presented a Public Acquisition Offer (OPA) for 100% of the shares of Dunas Energía, which in turn owns 99.96% of the shares of Electro Dunas, in the Stock Exchange of Lima, Peru.
Said proposal arises as compliance with the commitments acquired on February 19, 2019 with Electro Dunas Cayman Holdings, a subsidiary of the American company Blue Water Worldwide.
The Electro Dunas Group serves around 240,000 customers in Peru thanks to the fact that it has the highest distribution service quality indicators in that country, as well as distributed generation activities and services for the construction, operation and maintenance of infrastructure and electrical equipment.
At the beginning of this year, the president of the GEB, Astrid Álvarez, mentioned that the investment in Dunas Energía would range between US$180 million and US$200 million.
The GEB stated that in order to obtain the necessary money, it will go to both local banks and international banks and the alternative that presents the best conditions will be chosen.
Grupo Energía Bogotá is a multi-Latin company, a leader in the electric power and natural gas sector with a presence in Colombia, Peru, Guatemala and Brazil.
