High-ranking Russian general was killed by Ukrainian sniper
The commander was attacked from a distance of approximately 1.5 kilometers.
Andrey Sukhovetsky, who was deputy commander of the 41st Combined Arms Army of the Russian Military District, was killed by a sniper in a clash.
The significant drop in the Russian ranks was confirmed by the Kremlin Ministry of Defense and was also announced by his partner, Sergey Chipilyov on his social networks.

Local media reported that the sniper shot down Commander Andrey from a distance of approximately 1.5 kilometers.

Sukhovetsky was 47 years old and a highly decorated veteran soldier, he was appointed deputy commander of the 41st division army in October 2021.
Previously, he had commanded the 7th Airborne Assault Division in Novorossiysk for more than three years, completing various combat operations in the fighting in Chechnya, the intervention in Syria, and the war in Abkhazia.
The commander had twice participated in the Victory Parade in the Red Square of the Russian capital, where he received two Orders of Valor, the Medal of Valor and the Order of Military Merit.
