Horror concert: Eight people die during Travis Scott concert
During the presentation of Kylie Jenner's boyfriend, a human avalanche rushed onto the stage at Houston's NRG Park, leaving people dead, injured and in great panic.
About eight people lost their lives at the Astroworld Festival in Houston, United States (USA), on the night of this Friday, November 5, during the presentation of rapper Travis Scott, after the euphoric crowd began to push each other causing a great avalanche that also left several injured.
According to Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña, during Scott's presentation, boyfriend of the American socialite, Kylie Jenner, at approximately 9:15 PM, the crowd began to push towards the front of the stage, and was there when the panic started. Many began to fall unconscious to the floor.
According to the police report, and what was reviewed by the media, the victims were between 14 and 27 years old.
The event took place in the NRG Park, where a makeshift field hospital had to be built to care for the wounded; Likewise, a meeting point was set up for the families of the injured people in a hotel near the Park.
Authorities also noted that some 300 people were taken to hospital with injuries, of whom at least 11 had suffered cardiac arrest.
On the other hand, they also said that some concertgoers suffered from opioid overdoses, so the doctors had to give them doses of Naloxone (an antidote to opioids).
The Festival was attended by about 50 thousand people, the organizers of the event reported through their official social media accounts.
The rapper tried to stop the stampede

Despite the fact that many users of the networks criticized and even tried to blame the rapper for the tragedy, according to the critic of the Houston Chronicle, one of the most important newspapers in Houston, Joey Guerra, there were early incidents, so He asserted that it would be unfair to accuse the singer, when he was not even aware of the magnitude of what was happening.
This Saturday, the singer wrote on his Twitter account that his prayers are with the families of those affected during the concert, while thanking the police and emergency teams.
He also said that he is willing to work with the community to support families in need.
