Incommunicado in Tonga until submarine connection is restored
On Saturday, January 15, the coasts of the island of Tonga, in the South Pacific, were hit by a Tsunami.
The houses and structures located in front of the ocean, were hit by the large waves. Immediately everything was flooded. This could be seen in the recordings published on the social networks of the witnesses who had taken refuge on top of their houses.
Specialists have issued a Tsunami warning for the entire nation after the emission of the Hunga-Tonga-Hunga-Ha'apai submarine volcano, about 65 kilometers from the island of Tongatapu. This is the main island of this island country and is populated by about 71,000 citizens.
A second eruption occurred early Saturday afternoon, this one was smaller. The data was published on the Twitter of the National Emergency Network of Chile.

Minor tsunami alert in Chile
This Saturday, the National Emergency Office (Onemi) of Chile, warned of the possibility of the arrival of a minor tsunami on Easter Island, as a result of the eruption of the volcano on the island of Tonga.
The Onemi published on its social networks, which must be taken into account, that due to precautionary measures for the Juan Fernández Archipelago, Chilean Antarctic Islands, Easter and San Félix, it is recommended to leave these beach areas, due to the possibility of a minor tsunami.
