Mayor of kyiv uses contingency plan in case of Russian attack
Former boxer and current mayor of kyiv Vitali Klitschko.

The mayor has announced the deployment of 13,500 troops and 780 units with military equipment, and defense preparations for an emergency are now ready.

Klitschko assured that Kiev, being a very large city, has an extensive infrastructure and its operation in the event of an attack is the primary mission.

For this, Kiev authorities approved an evacuation plan in the capital where extraction points and security zones have already been established to mobilize the evacuees.

In addition, they have established fuel reserves and installed electricity generators to be able to carry out operations in the event of an emergency.

The mayor stressed that the kyiv thermal power plant can continue to operate for 10 consecutive days.

Kiev also has storage tanks capable of supplying energy, heating and water to the entire city in the event of a possible attack, in addition to 1,500 shelters to provide protection to civilians.

In recent hours, tension has grown enormously, causing countries such as the United States, the Netherlands or the United Kingdom to notify their citizens to leave Ukrainian territory in the face of an imminent Russian attack.

These announcements were accompanied by the dispatch of around 3,000 US military personnel to Poland as reinforcement and support against a possible attack on that front.

In another diplomatic attempt to defuse the tension, Putin and Biden met by phone and it only consisted of threats and warnings from both sides.
