Moscow announces opening of humanitarian channels in kyiv and other locations in Ukraine
Ukrainians flee their country after the Russian invasion.
Russian authorities confirmed the activation of humanitarian corridors in Kiev, Mariupol and Sumy.
After the denunciations of the Ukraine, where they assured that Moscow did not show the will to open humanitarian channels. The corridors were opened at 9:00 (Kyiv time), in cities such as kyiv, Chernigov, Kharkov, Mariupol and Sumy.
However, from Moscow they have not specified the routes that the humanitarian corridors will take. Some of these routes, on Monday and Tuesday, went to Russia and Belarus, which was criticized by the Ukrainian government.
Likewise, the activation of humanitarian channels is accompanied by a temporary ceasefire in these cities, to allow the evacuation of civilians. Something that failed largely due to civilian casualties, which have been recorded by the Ukrainian authorities.
From Ukraine it had been confirmed a few hours before that the Sumy humanitarian corridor would be active from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (local time). This would allow civilians to evacuate to the city of Potalva, in their own vehicle or in buses deployed by the Ukrainian government.
