Neighbors call the police and manage to rescue a young woman who was tortured for 20 years
The young woman is worried about the life of her parents
Karen, a young woman of 25 years of age, managed to free herself from the hell in which she lived since she was 4 years old.
In her home, located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, her parents tortured her in different ways. After a long time, she decided to scream for help, her neighbors managed to hear her and helped her by calling the local police.
In an interview, Karen indicates that she is afraid for her parents, since they may kill each other. Despite not feeling a grudge against them, Karen made a complaint. However, the couple remains free.
She also adds that they were the ones who gave her life and that is why she worries, but that she was always in the middle to prevent them from killing each other.
Last January, the neighborhood security cameras recorded when the parents attacked her on a public road, just because Karen arrived a little later than she had said.
These images were made public and in them you can see how they grab her hair. The woman assured that this was not the only punishment received, since the mother wet all her clothes with water and the father hit her with a cattle prod.
In her growth process, she learned to live in that situation and for that reason she never screamed for help. However, that Sunday she felt the need to do so and asked for help for the first time.
Karen stated that this is a big step, that there is no turning back and that she will not accept that the same thing happen to her again. Now she lives with her partner, in a house around the corner from the house where her parents continue to live.
Among her plans is to move from that place, since walking through the neighborhood she remembers everything that happened, and she does not want to see her parents again, since it would be a very painful episode.
Currently, Karen is a medical student and hopes to finish her degree to start a family.
