On the first occasion, more than 2 gigabytes of information were extracted and on the second, 130 megabytes from President Sánchez's phone.

According to the complaint filed by the government , the event occurred twice, one on May 19, 2021 and the 31st of the same month and year. Similarly, they highlighted that currently the mobile was analyzed and is free of the virus.

It was also known that the dates on which the phone was infected coincided with the conflict with Morocco due to the migration crisis in Ceuta. Due to the conflict, Sánchez visited the area on May 18, 2021, while on the 31st of that month, Rabat announced that the relationship with Spain had been broken, considering that it supported separatist groups.

Similarly, it was learned that the Spanish Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, was the victim of espionage and exfiltration of important information contained in her cell phone in June 2021, at this time, she does not show signs of being infected with Pegasus.

Given the seriousness of the case, the judge instructed the Public Prosecutor to carry out the corresponding investigations and to identify those responsible for inserting the virus into the president's phone and extracting important information.

According to sources from the prosecution , it would be the same head of the Jesús Alonso department, the one in charge of handling the case, and that it is the first time that a head of the Spanish government makes a complaint that directly affects him.

According to the complaint filed, in the first exfiltration they stole 2.6 gigabytes and in the second time 130 megabytes. While the minister was able to extract only 9 megabytes from her cell phone.
