Prince William reveals he suffered from severe depression
The heir to the British crown told through a podcast how it affected him to see a child suffer in a traffic accident
The life of royalty is sometimes envied by a large part of humanity, due to the luxuries they can enjoy, however, few of us see the other side of that seemingly happy life.
Prince William, Duke of Cambridge recently showed that royalty battles against the same demons that other mortals face, since through a podcast that began a few days ago, he spoke that having witnessed a devastating accident in 2017, it caused him a strong depression.
In the Podcast, entitled “Time to walk”, which can be listened to through Apple, Diana of Wales' eldest son explains that at that time he was working as an emergency helicopter pilot, and he had to take care of a child who had been hit by a car. The event shocked him because the little boy was the same age as his son George.
He revealed that this has been something that he has not been able to overcome, "it was as if someone had put a key in a lock and opened it without my giving permission to do so," says the prince in the audio, and details that this situation left as if the whole world was dying.
He also explained that the only help he found to get out of that dark cloud of depression was to talk about what he was experiencing with his family and closest friends, he asserted that was the only way he could leave behind the darkness and pessimism that they had seized him.
British media have reported that the parents of the boy Bobby, who was a victim of the accident, have spoken of the support and great love that Guillermo has given him in the last 4 years, which has revealed his human side, the one that perhaps he inherited from his mother, Princess Diana, who focused her work on social causes.
