Roman Abramovich: a key player in the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine
In the early hours of February 24, Russia began an invasion of Ukrainian territory, which led the UK Congress to raise sanctions against Roman Abramovich, owner of Chelsea.
Abramovich is part of Putin's circle of trust and was taken into account to be sanctioned by the international community.

After 5 days of war, Ukraine agreed on Monday to start a dialogue process with Russia on the border with Belarus, to discuss the conditions of a ceasefire.
In this context, it is where the presence of Roman Abramovich becomes relevant, since, according to English media, Abramovich would have agreed to be part of the dialogue process to negotiate a peaceful de-escalation of the war.
A spokesman for Abramovich said Ukrainian authorities contacted him last weekend through a Jewish contact in Ukraine.
The spokesman, who has remained anonymous, assured that the Ukrainian authorities requested Abramovich's support to achieve a peaceful solution to the conflict, and that since then he has been fully available to help.
In addition, he pointed out that, knowing that many things are at stake, Abramovich and his staff have decided not to comment on the situation of the war or Putin's participation in it.
The same British media revealed that Alexander Rodnyansky, a famous Russian film director and businessman, was one of the intermediaries to get Abramovich to participate in the dialogue process between Russia and Ukraine.
In addition, they assured that the Ukrainian commission had been looking for someone of Russian origin and with influence to achieve mediation for a peaceful exit for days.
Rodnyansky stated that from Ukraine they are in constant contact with Abramovich through the Jewish community and since the beginning of the communications he has mobilized all the necessary support.
On the other hand, he stated that Abramovich's influence is very limited, however, he was the only one who agreed to try.
So far it is not known if Abramovich's presence will have a positive impact on the dialogue, but according to Rodnyansky, the Ukrainian commission is very grateful for his efforts.
The Russian tycoon and owner of Chelsea will play an important role in the dialogue for peace between Ukraine and Russia, since he has a very close relationship with Putin.
In addition, it is important to highlight that this relationship with Putin was a key point for Abramovich's growth as a businessman.
