Russia and China denounced the influence of the United States in Europe and Asia
Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin

Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin have jointly declared that the influence of the United States and the NATO and AUKUS (Australia-United Kingdom-United States) military alliances in both Europe and Asia are destabilizing.

This statement was published on the occasion of the private meeting of the presidents of Russia and China last Friday, just hours before the opening of the Beijing Olympics.

Russia and China, which have an increasingly hostile relationship with the United States, have denounced US "destabilization" for world peace.

Putin and Xi Jinping say they agree to oppose NATO's advance in Eastern Europe, highlighting Russia's demand to stop the deployment of the alliance in the European region.

They have called on NATO to cease their intention to generate a new cold war.

Russia and China consider it necessary to withdraw NATO from their region, since it violates European security. The leaders argue that the security of a region cannot depend on the political intentions of others.

The presidents have also denounced the negative influence of the United States for the stability of Europe and the security of the region.

AUKUS is also a concern

Russia and China also announced their concern about the military alliance created by the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia (AUKUS) in 2021.

They consider that this alliance violates the strategic security of Europe, especially due to the manufacture of submarine vessels with nuclear capacity.

Since its founding, AUKUS has been heavily criticized by China. On the other hand, Washington has as a priority its dispute with China in the Pacific and throughout Asia.

In the economic framework, both countries would have signed important agreements, but no further information was revealed.

The Rosneft company and CNPC (Chinese oil company) signed agreements to supply, from Kazakhstan, 100 million tons of Russian oil to China for a decade.

Rosneft is the oil company that exports the most oil from China with 7% of annual demand for crude oil.

On the other hand, Gazprom and CNPC signed agreements for the supply of gas when the project reaches maximum production capacity.
