In a press conference, Serena Williams responded to Billie Jean King, considered one of the greatest players in the history of women's tennis, winner of twelve Grand Slam titles between 1966 and 1975, who dared to recommend the following: "stop behaving like a celebrity" and concentrate more on his tennis.

Before those words, Serena Williams replied: "the day I stop fighting for equality and for people like you and me, will be the day I'm in my grave", she also admitted that logically time passes, and it is no longer the same.

Billie Jean King, who is now 75 years old, later responded to Serena via her Twitter account : "I would never ask anyone to stop fighting for equality. In everything she does. Serena shines a light on what We must all fight to achieve equality for all".
