Spain: Can the COVID-19 certificate be obtained with a single dose of the vaccine?
The COVID-19 certificate has begun to be requested throughout Europe and many other countries in the world and clearly its use is going to become much more mandatory and important, especially now, when the virus has become much stronger and more contagious.
This is how in Spain and many other European countries, this passport or Covid-19 certificate has become mandatory to travel to any country in the European Union, while some countries are making it mandatory for various types of internal situations in the country.
Right now, getting vaccinated is not mandatory in much of the world, but in a certain way, with the requirement of the covid certificate, this seems to force people to have to be vaccinated if they want to have certain comforts, such as traveling from one country to another., or access different public sites.
Omicron variant
With the arrival of the new variant of the coronavirus this time named as omicron, the whole world has once again become alert, since the positive cases are being many more than those of the last time, and even many of the European countries are having more than 60,000 positive cases per day.
In the case of Spain, the omicron variant is already predominant, reaching up to 100,000 positive cases in a single day, thus breaking a record in this type of figures. So the rise in cases has made the Spanish government have to take action on the coronavirus again.
One of the first measures that have been taken has been the use of a mask, which will be mandatory when entering any public place.
Likewise, many autonomous communities are also placing restrictions when entering night spots or hotels.
Covid certificate
Among the new restrictions that are being placed in the country you can find the mandatory nature of the covid certificate, also known as the covid passport, this would not only be mandatory to travel from one country to another, but also for some internal situations of the country. So each person would have to show that they are vaccinated.
These measures have had to be taken due to the large increase in infections, so many regional governments have not wanted to waste time and have begun to act quickly by imposing the covid certificate.
Some activities where the covid passport would be required would be to access hotels, restaurants, leisure places, public events, among other activities that involve an agglomeration of people.
In the case of the Valencian Community, they have already announced that the covid certificate will be valid until after the new year, at least for now, since it is unknown if its application can continue or not after these dates, everything will depend on the level contagions that continue to emerge.
While in other communities such as Catalonia, Navarra, Murcia, the Basque Country, Galicia, Aragon and the Balearic Islands, the covid certificate has become mandatory to enter any place where there is an agglomeration of people.
It should be remembered that the European digital covid certificate has entered into force since last July, but that its use is currently being mandatory for people.
How is the Covid certificate obtained?
Being able to obtain the covid certificate is very simple, for this the only requirement is that people have the complete vaccination plan, that is, in the vast majority of cases people must have two doses of the vaccine already applied.
Likewise, this covid passport is completely free for all citizens, and it will be delivered in a digital format with a QR code that can be scanned at any establishment or airports.
The same is granted in order that the person can prove in any place that they are already vaccinated.
However, it must be taken into account that some vaccines have only one dose, so these people will have this exception, this means that all citizens who have been vaccinated with Janssen or have received a single dose, but that have already overcome the disease, then they can have the covid certificate.
Finally, the digital covid certificate will only last 12 months once the full dose of the vaccine has been placed, although it is being planned to reduce its validity to just 9 months in case the person does not receive the third booster dose.
These are measures that have been taken in order to stop the number of coronavirus infections that continues to increase every day. In this way, getting vaccinated is becoming something more than mandatory for all people, considering that a large part of the world population does not agree with these vaccines.
However, the different governments of the world are taking care of cornering each of these people until they are brought to a point where there is no choice but to have to be vaccinated, since even to enter a food store you will have to show this certificate.
