Spotify kept its millions of users without music
The king of streaming music presented a drop in his service this week
One of the most successful platforms in the world suffered a crash that left several users unable to access their accounts. A persistent bug that became known and wandered all over the internet.
Consumers of this mobile app giant had a long time to get anxious because the app didn't recognize their username or password.
But the Twitter application was fast enough for the hundreds of people affected to report with memes, phrases and questions about what was happening with Spotify. We tell you more details below. Keep reading!
Spotify leaves its users without music for more than an hour
Spotify is by far the largest music streaming platform. It has even become an important index, as far as the music industry is concerned.
From listening to music, podcasts, and even watching a variety of digital videos. These are the main functions of the online platform, but this last week, it did not meet the objective.
For several hours, a login/exit issue for multiple user accounts was seen globally. What turned the complaints into a trending topic, as a result of the memes and funny comments on the subject, were immediate.
The company accepted the error through its Twitter account, explaining that "there was something wrong", adding a thank you to those consumers, who had reported their incidents when trying to access their Spotify accounts.
What was happening?
The music app error was not just an "offline" on the web. Most of the incidents were in the mobile phone application, and what was happening was extremely rare.
Nor was it a select group of people who the company had left unable to listen to music, there was no specific line. Both its ordinary users and its premium users experienced this eventuality this Tuesday.
Users say that they tried to enter to listen to their playlists and the app rejected them. Announcing, in the same way, in red that the password and username were incorrect.
And although several sought help with the support of the platform, it also brought some bugs that did not give them any answer about their current situation.
This scare was not only experienced by one person, but by hundreds of members of the Spotify community in countries such as Spain, the United States, Mexico, other random areas of Latin America and the United Kingdom.
Why did it happen?
After 90 continuous minutes with the problem, the official Spotify account announced that everything looked much better now, but without specifying more about the incident of the fall of its service. That is, they did not argue the ruling.
Nor are they expected to do so, since earlier in 2021 there was also a fall by Spotify that lasted only a few minutes. The outcome was the same, they just reported that there were errors and then claimed that everything was resolved.
Although on the web, netizens already have some theories, such as, for example, that several interns from the streaming music company had deleted a long list of user accounts. Which has not been stated.
What if it has given as understanding for several failures of this magnitude and the lack of transparency of what has happened, several companies have lowered their popularity. Since if the community is not treated as participants in the company, they will not want to continue acquiring their services.
Although Spotify will not go out of style for a long time, it has several platforms behind its first place, so it is appropriate to better manage the information, and in this way they are also saved from the theories of netizens.
Did you also have problems with Spotify this week?
Spotify will also close its doors for the Russian Federation
Among other news that has been announced this week about the most successful music app, is the decision made by its developers to suspend its premium user service for the entire territory of Russia.
Let us remember that several multinational companies have taken these sanctions from the sale of their products and services, because the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, started a war in Ukraine several weeks ago.
Most companies feel pressured to respond to the acts of violence experienced in these times, since the community asks for it so that with each grain of sand at least the entertainment of the nation that has invaded Ukraine is stopped.
