The president of Uruguay will remain in power while he undergoes his cancer treatment
A pulmonary nodule with malignant characteristics is presented by the President of Uruguay Tabaré Vázquez, who will be hospitalized for cancer treatment, but will continue in power while undergoing that treatment.

Tabaré Vázquez took advantage of his situation and as a good oncologist by profession, he recommended that all Uruguayans have control examinations to verify their health. In addition, he stated that all treatment was carried out in Uruguay, highlighting the work of local doctors and the country's ability to treat this type of illness.
The Uruguayan president has been in constant attack on smoking, abiding by all international laws and promoting new laws in his country. This has allowed him to win international awards for the fight against smoking, awarded by the WHO and who has also caused international lawsuits for not letting the tobacco companies function properly in his country.
