Antony Blinken, Secretary of State, confirmed the donation of more than 500 million anticovid vaccines to other countries, by the United States.

Blinken highlighted that more than 110 countries will obtain this donation of effective and safe vaccines, at no cost, with the aim of saving many lives.

In this way, the figure is expected to double to 1.1 billion doses, after the global pandemic remains.

In addition, the Secretary of State indicated that, for two years, when the appearance of the coronavirus, 20 million dollars in economic, health and humanitarian assistance were provided to more than 120 countries.

Some of the US-sponsored vaccination programs are located in Malawi, Zambia, Thailand, and Paraguay.

Blinken insists that the work is critical, as the pandemic is not over. Vast amounts of life are at risk globally as countries grapple with omicron and face the likelihood of new variants.
