Vera Lytovchenko

Vera Lytovchenko, is the name of the Ukrainian violinist who has gone viral all over the internet, with images that show her ingenuity playing her instrument "the violin", in an underground shelter where she protects herself from the weapons that hit Kharkov.

His sweet melodies have not only been able to appease the pain of war, but have also been a show of inspiration for the entire international public, through social networks.

This woman, who has become an icon of resilience throughout the internet, explained that it all started when her father, accompanied by neighbors, decided to take the basement of the building, to take refuge from the intense bombing that began two weeks ago in the town.

"Bombs can fall anywhere in our city, so we decided to go down to the basement."

Likewise, he indicated that in said place he shares with a group of 12 people, where children and older women were; so a week after being in that shelter, he decided to “raise spirits”, through small concerts performed with his violin.

Once he began to improve the emotional atmosphere from the basement where he is, he took the opportunity to publish his small concerts through social networks; What Vera never imagined is that her videos would reach more than 40,000 views on Facebook, and thousands more on YouTube.

For Vera, the war will not extinguish her art, which is why she has managed to offer concerts and pieces that are the best weapon to rise up against the war, and improve the spirits of those around her.

In her normal life, this woman is a university professor and an orchestral performer.
