Those who suffer from IBS have albino blonde hair, which is very striking and difficult to control.

A 16-month-old baby, born in the United States, has become known for having a strange condition in his hair, which is little known worldwide.

The rare disease causes the hair to grow erect, making it extremely difficult to comb and control it. The pathology is little known and is called the "Uncombable Hair Syndrome" (SCI).

Investigators of this type of cases assure that like this little one there are more than 100 in the whole world.

The most incredible thing about the case is that the baby was born with dark hair, similar to that of his mother. But as time went by, the appearance of his hair took a 180 degree turn, becoming a deep blonde, which caused him to be affectionately nicknamed "peach fuzz".

After three months, the child's scalp looked normal, but with a slightly different texture. He even looked similar to his brother Shep, who is three years older than him.

One of the outstanding and unrepeatable characteristics of this type of hair is how easy it is to break and how complex it is to comb it.

The mother of the baby with SCI did not imagine that her son could suffer from a special condition

In view of how shocking this condition was for his parents, they decided to open an account for him on the social network Instagram, to show the beauty and particular look of their little one.

This caught the attention of one user, who told her mother about Untamed Hair Syndrome, who was completely unaware of this disease at the time.

The mother of the infant decided to take him to the doctor and there she verified that he does have IBS.

"The doctor told us that she had only seen a case like this once in her 19-year career. We didn't think it was a syndrome, but they took a special microscope and confirmed the pathology."

Finally, the mother expressed that "one goes about his day to day, thinking that his son may have curly hair, which is common in the family. But hearing that there is a rare syndrome associated with your son is crazy."

What is Uncombable Hair Syndrome

It is a rare disorder that affects the shaft of the scalp, making it, in addition to being difficult to comb, have a particular appearance, ranging from silver to yellow. Another effect of this pathology is that it slows hair growth and although its appearance and density are apparently normal, it tends to break very easily.

Experts who have investigated this type of case have discovered that the origin of the syndrome lies in a genetic mutation, which modifies the formation of hair. There is even a theory that it is inherited in an autosomal recessive manner.

Diagnosis of the rare disease usually occurs between the first three months and 12 years of a person's life. There is currently no treatment for the syndrome, but according to studies, the appearance of the hair improves when puberty is reached.
