José Manuel Torres Morales, is a 37-year-old mechanical engineer, who was born in Chihuahua, the "prince of nerds" as he describes himself, rose to stardom after making a post on Twitter in 2010, against Andrés Manuel López Obrador who was a candidate that year. The post immediately went viral.

Chumel Torres: "The Government of Venezuela threatened to take us off the air"

"Chumel con Chumel Torres" is one of the favorite programs of viewers and is one of the 10 most watched series in Mexico by HBO GO ; Manuel didn't expect to get this far, and says he still doesn't believe it.

"Weird. It's like I didn't expect it to go this far, you know how? It's like when your son is not that smart, and he's graduating from college, it's like saying hey, I didn't expect any of this."

Although it is true that it is about politics, either with your neighbor friends or on television, it becomes quite complex. Well, the engineer, now a presenter, says that political issues are quite complex and that they have also come to be in trouble because of these issues. An example of them is a threat received from the Venezuelan government.

Manuel says: The Government of Venezuela sent us a letter telling us if this program goes on the air, it is jeopardizing the transmission of HBO in Venezuela, my boss who is the biggest rock star in the world told me : this is the greatest opportunity in the world, imagine your arrested with handcuffs in the court of Venezuela, I put a Go pro camera and the ratings skyrocket, but we have a very team of lawyers. And I told myself then I'm with the right team.
