The tallest and most famous skyscraper in the world, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, was "dressed" in light blue and white. At 8:25 p.m., and on the occasion of the celebration of the 203rd anniversary of the declaration of independence of Argentina, the building was illuminated with the white and light blue colors that correspond to the Argentine flag.

The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world at 828 meters high. In Arabic, "burj" means tower. Its height displaced the Taipei 101 Tower as the tallest in 2007.

It was an initiative of the Argentine embassy in the United Arab Emirates.

It is worth mentioning that on Argentine soil, the Ministry of Environment and Public Space of the city of Buenos Aires had also resolved that the most important monuments of the city be illuminated with the national colors of Argentina for the anniversary of independence between Friday and On tuesday night.

A total of twelve monuments and public buildings in Buenos Aires were included: the Pyramid of May, the Cabildo, the Obelisk, the Monument to the Two Congresses, Corrientes Avenue, the Planetarium, the Floralis, the Women's Bridge, the Usina del Arte, the Faculty of Engineering, the Lezama Palace and the Monumental Tower.

"We celebrate this important date in the history of our country by illuminating twelve Buenos Aires emblems with the colors of our flag," said Eduardo Macchiavelli, current Minister of Environment and Public Space of the City of Buenos Aires.
