Great victory for Atlético de Madrid at the Metropolitano – Sports
De Paul scores the winning goal at minute 67.

This Friday , Atlético de Madrid received Cádiz at the Wanda Metropolitano for matchday 28 of LaLiga. It was not an easy match for the home team, since it became complicated for them and they were even able to lose it with some clear chances from the visitors.

The duel began favorably for the 'Cholo' team, since at minute 3, the Portuguese João Félix anticipated a pass from goalkeeper Ledesma, who tried to pass it to the left, the mattress player stole the ball and then crossed it to the left stick. 1-0 and the home team got the first goal in the first few minutes.

For its part, Cádiz was able to tie at 17', when Negredo burst into the area from the right and raised a center to mid-height, it was cleared by Llorente and the Uruguayan Espino was served at the edge of the area, who took out a powerful shot that something deviated happens near the right squad.

There were more occasions for both teams, but one of the clearest was that of Sobrino at 32', who stole a ball in the middle of the pitch that Oblak had taken, led it to the edge of the area, made a turn on its axis to remove the mark, he shoots from below and passes near the left post.

At minute 39, Reinildo enters hard on a Cádiz player and the referee does not hesitate to give him a direct red card, however, he then goes to see the VAR and corrects his decision and ends up showing him the yellow card.

But in the 45th minute, Espino served a diagonal cross from the left wing towards the penalty spot and Negredo headed it into the back of the net for a partial draw. In this way they would go to rest and both teams would have to rethink their strategies for the second half.

By the second half, the chances continued for both teams, until in minute 67, Llorente escaped down the right wing and sent a cross into the box from below, Suárez received with his back to the goal and passed it to Correa who released a forehand that Ledesma stops, but the rebound went to the center and De Paul finishes off and converts the final 2-1.

However, at 72' and 74' Cádiz would have two clear chances that could have turned into a draw. First, a corner taken by Idrissi at the near post and Víctor Chust headed it to the side of the net.

The second was for a center into the area from the left wing that Oblak tries to clear with his hands, but the rebound remains in the middle so that Luis Hernández hits it with a volley, but Giménez clears with a header over the last line.

At 79' Cádiz tried again and this time through Alcaraz, who fired a powerful shot from the edge of the area, but it went over the top, grazing the roof of the goal defended by Oblak.

For his part, at 87' there would be a fortuitous action that ended in expulsion. The rojiblancos youth squad, Javi Serrano, gave Álex Fernández a hard challenge and the referee gave him a direct red card. The mattress team would stay with 10 players and would finish suffering the last minutes to prevent a tie.

The home team defended well and Cádiz could not generate other clear chances of danger to Oblak's area. Victory for Atlético, which consolidates itself in third position with 51 points and four from Sevilla, which is second, while Cádiz is in 18th place, in the relegation zone with 24 points.
