Marseille comeback at the Vélodrome – Sports – WebMediums
The team led by Jorge Sampaoli knew how to suffer to come back from the game

This Friday at the Stade Vélodrome the corresponding match was held for matchday 23 of Ligue 1 where Olympique de Marseille received the modest Angers in a duel where ten positions difference was not reflected on the field, at least, in the first time.

It was a match with abundant goals ( 7 in total ) where they started by surprising the home team, the two goals from Angers.

The first was made at minute 8 with an attack, with ball stealing included in the area and Ángelo Fulgini ends up scoring the 0-1.

Three minutes later, at 11' another attack by the visiting team would end with a pass from the left to the edge of the area, where Nabil Bentaleb would take a shot that, deflecting on a defender, would enter the back of the net. 0-2 partial and the public fell silent in the Vélodrome.

However, the amount of visiting goals would end there, since Marseille, after a stolen ball in the midfield by Mattéo Guendouzi, passed it to Arkadiusz Milik, who was left in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper and scored the first goal for the locals and the first in his personal account in the match.

Only three minutes later it would take the team led by Jorge Sampaoli to tie the game.

The play would start with a series of triangulation passes from the right and Pol Lirola would pass it to Gerson, who would take a powerful left-footed shot from outside the area that would embed itself in the right side of the goal. Partial tie and so they would go to rest.

Already for the second half, the locals would complete the comeback in a play that would start with a long pass that Gerson would try to control, but seeing the rival goalkeeper ahead, he would send a high ball for Milik to head from the center of the area and score to empty door. 3-2 partial.

At 78', Milik himself would score the fourth goal for his team ( hat-trick in his personal account ) when he received a diagonal deep pass from the right by Cengiz Ünder and pushed it to the left post from the center of the area.

The win would be completed in the 85th minute, when Cengiz Ünder took a powerful left-footed shot from the edge of the area and sent it to the left corner. 5-2 definitive.

With this victory, Olympique de Marseille consolidates itself in second place with 43 points, while Angers is in 12th position with 29 points.
