The new M1 Ultra chip is unbelievably big
Apple recently introduced its brand new Apple Studio, a kit that included the powerful new M1 Ultra processor. This processor has shown that it is one of the most powerful today.
However, it was known thanks to the guys from Max Studio, who have been in charge of disassembling one of these teams that the size of the processor is larger than expected. They have even compared it to an AMD Ryzen and this is at least twice as big.

RAM not visible
This computer comes with a maximum of 128 GB of RAM, which is not visible. This is one of those things that can make you think twice, especially since we are talking about a team of almost 3,000 dollars. However, 128 GB of RAM is more than enough for most users.
In any case, you must be clear that you will not be able to expand the amount of available memory. This means that if you choose the 32 GB version and it falls short, you will have to buy a new device.

Another thing about this equipment is that the storage disk is also not accessible. This means that you will not be able to expand it either. It is true that it has 1 TB of storage, but for some people it may not be enough.
If this is your case, you will have to buy a version with more space, which can go up to 8 TB, but this represents a significant increase in price.
The other option you have is to opt for a cloud storage service to save your files. Apple is betting on users using its own storage service, Apple Drive.
This would mean that if you need additional storage, you will need to pay Apple a monthly fee for extra cloud space. This is not the only cloud storage service, but it is the most compatible with Apple's system.
A powerful processor, but big
This is a processor that, without a doubt, is extremely large, but do not worry, this has an explanation. The M1 Ultra is a processor that has 114 billion transistors that are divided into 20 cores.
Of these 20 cores, 16 are high-performance, while the other 4 are low-power. Additionally, it has a 64-unit graphics card with 64 cores each. All this means that the new M1 Ultra chip offers a power of 21 teraflops. This is twice the power of a PlayStation 5.
Despite all this, we have that in some benchmarks, this processor has a lower performance than the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X and the Intel Core i9-12900K. This means that we are facing a more expensive computer, but with lower performance, at least in terms of numbers.
However, it is also true that these processors have a different purpose. Both the AMD Ryzen and the Intel i9 are designed primarily for gaming. For its part, the M1 Ultra is built for hard work.
In any case, this is something that you should take into account if you want to acquire one of these teams.
