2. Obelisk of Buenos Aires
It is considered the symbol of the Argentine capital, being in turn the place where the inhabitants are concentrated, when an important event occurs in the nation; such as the great victories of the soccer team, or some historical or political event that deserves celebration.
It was created in 1936, in order to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the founding of the city.
Its height reaches 67.5 meters high, and it is located in the Plaza de la República, between Corrientes and 9 de Julio avenues.
3. Teatro Colón
The magic and beauty that you will find both outside and inside this building have made it one of the best theaters in the world.
It also has unbeatable acoustics that have made it be considered one of the best venues to enjoy opera worldwide.
Regarding its architecture, the exterior is impressive thanks to its rectangular construction, and the columns that are adorned with small arches over its windows; crowning the building with a large pediment in its highest part.

4. Puerto Madero
The Río de la Plata, the Costanera Sur ecological reserve, the shipyards with their boats, and some of the best gastronomic venues in the city, are found here in Puerto Madero.
Puerto Madero owes its name to Eduardo Madero, who designed it at the end of the 19th century, so that the city of Buenos Aires would have a good commercial port; since previously, they had to anchor the ships in nearby wells that served as natural ports.
Nowadays, this point of the city is very visited by tourists, who appreciate the excellent views of the river, the skyscrapers of the city, and the visit to one of the most important historical monuments of Puerto Madero.
We are referring to the Frigate Presidente Sarmiento, which for forty years was the school ship where the officers of the Argentine Navy were trained.
This ship also participated in historical moments, taking numerous Argentine delegations to important events, such as: the founding of the Panama Canal, or the Centennial of the Independence of Mexico.
Another of the great attractions that Puerto Madero has is to walk across the beautiful Puente de la Mujer.
5. San Telmo Market
Like several major cities in the world, Buenos Aires has a striking old market, where you can learn about the city's gastronomy, or have fun in its antique shops, seeing objects that made history around the world.
On the walls of this market you will find: all kinds of spices, exotic foods for your kitchen, enjoy different types of coffee from all over the world; or sit in some of their excellent food vending places.

6. La Recoleta Cemetery

7. Ateneo Bookstore
This bookstore of great beauty was previously the Teatro Nacional Norte, and therefore, when you visit this magical place in Buenos Aires, you will see a red velvet background where the stage was before.
The Ateneo Bookstore has more than 10,000 titles available to its visitors, since the works found here can be reviewed and consulted.
