What are the awards that will not be broadcast live?

This is the first time that the awards gala carries out this new dynamic in which the only people who can see the 8 nominations are those who attend the ceremony in person. However, the directors of the film academy stated that at the end of the event they would announce the winners in a statement.

The 8 nominations for the categories of the 94th edition of the Oscar Awards are: Best Original Soundtrack, Best Editing, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Sound, Best Animated Short Film, Best Design Production, Best Short Film and Best Documentary Short Film.

The categories mentioned are the only ones that will not be broadcast during the delivery of the 2022 Oscar Awards.

Alberto Mielgo is nominated for Best Animated Short Film for his work on 'EL Limpia Vidrios' and Alberto Iglesias in the category of Best Soundtrack for 'Madres Paralelas'.

How will the 2022 Oscar Awards be broadcast?

In the 94th edition of the Oscar Awards they are going to innovate with other filming dynamics and it will be a little different from the previous ones that we have been used to seeing.

The event will start an hour before to make the presentation of the 8 nominations that will not be broadcast live and the delivery of each of the awards.

In addition, during said transmission each of the winners will be able to make a speech of thanks while they are standing on the podium, after receiving their respective award.

The film academy reported that the reason why they decided to extend this ceremony is to dedicate more time to entertainment and increase their commitment to the public that will attend the 94th Edition of the Oscar Awards.

The directors in charge of organizing the film awards ceremony reported that the official date for the presentation of the awards is set for March 27, 2022.
