Over the next few days we will be enjoying the best programming from the 'HBO Max', 'Prime Video', 'Movistar+' and 'Disney+' platforms, with season renewals and new promises.

The subscribers of the streaming platforms have voted for their favorite productions, which have marked major premieres in the month of May. Among them stand out: 'The Man Who Fell To Earth', 'Conversations Between Friends' and 'Fátima'.

1. 'Fatima'

The new film ' Fátima ' is a historical drama production, which has the production of the company 'Amazon Prime Video'. Created by the Portuguese showrunner 'Marco Pontecorvo', and has the participation of 'Harvey Keitel', 'Goran Visnjic' and 'Sônia Braga', as protagonists of the cast.

The story follows the life of a 10-year-old boy, along with his two little cousins, all living in the small town of Fátima, located in Portugal. One night, the three young people claim to have had divine visions with the Lady of Fatima, this revelation caused the believers to be inspired. But, the children's family and the secular government were upset.

The secular government wants them to change their version of their history in order to quell the influence of the mob. In times of the First World War, the three children will have to face a trial of faith, which will expand their legend in Fatima.

The premiere of the new " Amazon Prime Video " movie will arrive on the platform on May 12, 2022.

2. 'The Kids in the Hall'

' The Kids in the Hall ' is the title of the new production that will mark the return of the Canadian comedy group from 'Sketches', after more than 10 years of the original story. The series will be directed by actress and screenwriter 'Lauren Ash', and the cast is led by 'Fred Armisen', 'Lauren Ash' and 'Jay Baruchel'.

It is a documentary type story, which follows the unpublished passages of a group of Canadian comedians throughout their career. The comedians managed to forge a revolution and become a worldwide trend due to their global broadcast.

During the first season they will be revealing multimedia files and testimonials from the members, to explain what the public's ovation was like every time they went on stage.

The new series ' The Kids in the Hall' will be publishing its first episodes from May 13, 2022 on the ' Prime Video ' platform.

3. 'The Man Who Fell To Earth'

The production ' The Man Who Fell To Earth ' is one of the most anticipated premieres of 'Movistar+' this month. The series features the performances of 'Chiwetel Ejiofor', 'Naomie Harris' and 'Clarke Peters' starring in the official cast. The sci-fi drama story is created and directed by 'Alex Kurtzman' and 'Jenny Lumet'.

It is inspired by the homonymous novel by the writer 'Walter Tevis' and the famous film starring 'David Bowie'. The plot follows 'Thomas', an alien who decides to undertake a journey to Planet Earth, with the aim of finding water to save his world.

'Thomas' will have to come up with his knowledge of advanced technology to create a way to transport water to his home planet. However, his plans begin to take an unexpected turn when he meets a hotel worker 'Mary-Lou'.

The new series of ' Movistar + ' will be available in the streaming format from May 9, 2022.

4. 'Fortune smiles on Lady Nikuko'

This production is a story of animation, love and satire, which is waiting for more than 50 thousand streaming subscribers.

The film was produced by Japanese showrunner 'Ayumu Watanabe', and the cast stars 'Satomi Ohshima', 'Kiro Yamanaka' and 'Haruma Chiba', in the original dub.

The story follows 'Nikuko', a 35-year-old obese woman who is always unlucky when it comes to falling in love. One of the things that characterizes her is that everyone who faces her problems has a smile on her face and in a positive way. After a disappointment, the woman decides to embark on a boat adventure with her daughter.

The new film ' Fortune Smiles at Lady Nikuko ' will be streaming on May 10 through the Movistar+ platform.

5. 'Conversations between friends'

The new HBO Max production is a new drama series that is inspired by the homonymous novel by 'Sally Rooney' published in 2004. Created by the British showrunner 'Alice Birch', and with the participation of 'Alison Oliver', ' Sasha Lane' and 'Joe Alwyn', as protagonists of the official cast.

The plot follows a girl named 'Frances', she is a young university student who decides to face her personal weaknesses, while dating several people in short periods of time.

She is a very observant and suspicious girl, and her ex-girlfriend turned best friend 'Bobbi', who is a confident and outspoken woman.

Both begin to interpret poetry at the university, in one of their shows a recognized writer 'Melissa' decides to be fascinated with 'Bobbi' and 'Frances'. From there, the two students will begin a new adventure with the writer and her husband 'Nick'.

The premiere of " Conversations between friends " is scheduled for May 15, 2022 on the HBO Max content portal.

6. 'The Quest'

' The Quest ' is an American production that is directed and written by award-winning screenwriter 'Eric Newman'.

The series is a story of show, adventure and fantasy that will come from the hand of the Disney + company this week. The cast of the series is starring 'Emily Gateley', 'Braeden De La Garza' and 'Racquel Jean-Louis'.

The story recounts the lives of 8 teenagers who, on any given day, find themselves involved in a fictional and fantasy universe called 'Eternal Lands'. In this new place they will have to fulfill a special mission of a prophecy, they will have to save a kingdom and defeat a sorceress who yearns for power and destruction.

The new Disney+ series ' The Quest ' will arrive on May 11, 2022 on the streaming platform.
