Natural remedies for arrhythmias
For heart rate violations, in addition to medications prescribed by the doctor, you can also use folk remedies proven over time for arrhythmias.
These are various herbs, certain vegetables and fruits that have a fortifying effect on the whole body and in the cardiovascular system.
General recommendations for arrhythmias
• To strengthen the heart muscle, it is recommended to eat foods rich in potassium and magnesium.
These are, first and foremost, fresh vegetables, fruits and berries, baked or cooked potatoes in uniforms, dried fruits (dried apricots, raisins, plums, figs), nuts, oatmeal and buckwheat porridge. Something on this list should be on the patient's table with arrhythmia.
• The food should be 5-6 times a day, in small portions. It must be remembered that overeating has a negative effect on the work of the heart, since the overflow of the stomach causes irritation of the vagus nerve and, as a result, the inhibition of the function of the sinus node and the entire cardiac conduction system.
• It is necessary, if possible, to abandon isometric charges (static) (lifting, holding and carrying weights) and doing some yoga exercises related to the freezing in certain poses.
But mild and moderate dynamic (aerobic) exercise with functional heart rhythm disorders will only bring benefits. It is mainly a long walk at a moderate pace, the implementation of various gymnastic exercises without loads.
Naturally, such physical exercises must be approved by your doctor and carried out under the control of tolerance to the load with the help of functional tests.
Popular remedies for arrhythmias (heart rhythm disorders)
1. Infusion of hawthorn fruit
This is the most effective folk remedy for arrhythmia, which has been used in different countries of the world for several hundred years.
Prepare the hawthorn infusion in the following way: 1 tablespoon of crushed fruit is placed in an enamel saucepan, filled with boiling water (200 ml), covered with a lid and put in a water bath (in another saucepan with boiling water, placed on the stove over low heat) during 15 minutes.
After infusion and cooling for 45 minutes, the fruits of hawthorn are compressed, the infusion is filtered and filled with 200 ml of boiled water.
Take 1/2 cup twice a day, half an hour before meals for several months.
In case of severe arrhythmia in the first week, you can take 1 cup of hawthorn infusion 3 times a day, then, gradually reduce the amount of alcohol consumed per half glass per day at a maintenance dose (half a glass 2 times a day).
By the way, the hawthorn spirits tincture sold in pharmacies does not have such a positive therapeutic effect in case of arrhythmia, as a freshly prepared infusion.
2. Calming collection
In case of cardiac arrhythmias caused by neurotic disorders, a collection of sedatives will be effective. For its preparation, we take 1 part of valerian root, 2 parts of mint leaves and 1 part of hops cones.
2 tablespoons of the mixture poured two cups of boiling water, cover with a lid, cover with a towel and insist for 30 minutes.
Then we filter and take half a glass of infusion (100 ml) in the morning and at night for 3-4 weeks.
3. Drink 1-2 cups of vegetable juice freshly squeezed every day (beet, carrot, radish and better a mixture of them).
The course is 2-3 months. It is necessary to start taking vegetable juice in small doses: from 20-50 ml, gradually increasing to 1-2 glasses per day (50-100 ml 3 times a day one hour before meals).
In the juice, you can add a teaspoon of honey.
Along with the popular remedies described above for arrhythmia, you can use reflex and self-hypnosis methods, acupressure (you can read about this in this article), as well as special physical therapy exercises.
