Apple does not stop surprising us, now all your devices will have Notch?
For those who do not know what the "Notch" is, or does, here we will explain it to you in the simplest way possible. It is a notch that is characterized by being at the top of the screen of most current smartphones, in which the camera and some sensors are located.
The nice thing about the notch is that it allows to obtain a much wider screen, which is cut only where this notch is located. Now that we understand what it means, we can continue with the premise, Apple surprised us by introducing a notch in their new MacBook Pros.
This notch first appeared on the iPhone X, but no one expected it to be implemented on other devices. No other company has used a notch on a desktop or laptop like Apple has.
What uses could Apple have in mind for the notch?
Mainly, incorporating new and better cameras, since these have become an icon of the apple company. In addition to this, taking advantage of the size of the screens, it is believed that new and sophisticated sensors will be incorporated.
Among these sensors, an exponential improvement is expected for Face ID, Apple's facial recognition that is replacing fingerprints. The security will be unmatched, nobody will be able to use your devices without your authorization in advance.
The incredible thing here is that we can obtain this level of security in any of the Apple devices that we have. It would undoubtedly be a technological innovation, since we can enjoy all the benefits with the greatest possible security.
What Apple devices will have this notch?
Since 2020, Apple has had a patent specifying that they can use these "notches" in any of their devices. Which makes us think that not only iPhones and the new MacBook Pro will have a notch.
The possibilities are endless, since Apple has a huge number of devices of all kinds, to which a notch can be integrated. The patent indicates that the iMac of the future may have this notch so characteristic of the brand.
We could highlight that the MacBook model presented at the last Apple event already has a notch. Inside this, it has its powerful front camera, a TrueTone sensor and some other common sensors, but it does not integrate the Face ID system.
Although because the support for Face ID is specified within the patents, this may only be indicating that Apple plans to integrate it soon. Models with this feature may be presented at an upcoming event.
It is very possible that we see an iMac, MacBook, iPhones, iPad and even Apple Watches with notch that integrate sensors for Face ID. It would certainly be an addition that everyone wishes they had, as with this, security would be greatly increased and the screens would remain amazing at all times.
