A pple is a company loved by many and hated by others, it is one of the companies recognized for the great marketing and technology on their iPhones, iPods and other devices. Now why not try it with a car ?

In 2014, Apple began working on what they called the Titan project. This project involves more than 1000 vehicle engineers who designed an electric vehicle at a secret location in Cupertino California.

However, it is rumored this year that Apple plans to stop this big project. These rumors began after some problems among the main leaders within the company.

ICar project confirmation

In December 2020 we received a huge update that got a lot of people excited. Apple confirmed that it is still working on its line of electric vehicles and the plan is to launch it within the next 3-6 years.

Sources close to the media have stated that Apple targeted a launch in 2024. But others speculate that the launch date will be between 2025 and 2027.

This foray into the world of automobiles means that Apple will work with a manufacturing partner to produce the electric cars. Initially a partnership between Apple and Hyundai was discussed.

This would be beneficial to Apple for a few reasons. The first is that Hyundai is one of the biggest manufacturers right now. With years of experience in the market and manufacturing.

If Apple works with Hyundai, they will be able to test Apple software on already approved Hyundai vehicles, which are currently in production. If this were to happen, Apple would reach an agreement with Hyundai to maintain both control over the design of the Apple Car, and the exclusive software that was designed for it.

That's because Apple had plans for the car to be Apple-branded rather than a Hyundai car with Apple components. Which is quite generous, as Hyundai would help Apple make the big leap in the auto industry.

Despite many rumors circulating that Apple was close to making such a deal with Hyundai, different sources have recently reported that Apple has put partnership talks on hold, and has also been discussing Apple Car's plans with other manufacturers to their cars.

This is for obvious reasons, as they are looking at what is their best option in an economic sense.

Some say that Apple canceled the agreement, because confidential information was leaked because of Hyundai entrepreneurs, information that it said was in talks with Apple.

However, before the media, Hyundai gave a conference retraction and changing the statement. Hyundai recently announced that it in no way had a discussion with Apple, and that Apple does not have any kind of agreements with them.

Possible contact with Nissan

Apple had allegedly come to Nissan with the idea of a possible partnership. But the negotiations were brief, and due to a disagreement, it came nowhere close to becoming a real deal.

The two companies were apparently clashing over the fact that Nissan wanted to have power in Apple Car design. Everything indicates that Apple wants total control of the design and exclusivity in the software of your vehicle.

This has prompted Nissan to confirm that it is not in talks with the technology company.

Conversations with South Korea

However, some good news from Apple comes from South Korea. In which different media reported that Apple is very close to signing an agreement with LG magna and PowerTrade.

Which is a company that is dedicated to the manufacture of electric motors, inverters and chargers for car manufacturers.

This could indicate that Apple plans to produce its electric vehicle on a smaller scale, compared to other major automakers.

If the two companies reach an agreement, Apple will establish the precise details on the production of the car, which they hope to have ready at the most by 2024.

This whole plan to produce cars by Apple has of course been the focus of much criticism, as there are those who say in the form of mockery and joke that when they deliver the car, you will have to buy the tires and the seat separately, as they do with their cell phone chargers.

The fabulous iCar from Apple.
