Yulia Tarasevich: Russian model reveals the ordeal caused by cosmetic surgery
The model was unable to smile and close her eyes.
Russian beauty queen Yulia Tarasevich, 45, was a finalist in the Mrs Russia-International beauty pageant in 2020.
Some time later, she made the decision to undergo aesthetic procedures at a clinic in Krasnodar, in the south of Russia.
The mother of two spoke of her experience, saying her face was too swollen after her £3,000 surgery. In the intervention, she underwent blepharoplasty (cosmetic correction of the eyelids), facelift and mini-liposuction.
She assure that when she arrived at the clinic, she did so with her healthy and beautiful face. She only hoped to correct certain nuances that come with aging, but she lost her health.
In addition, she did it calmly because she had all her tests in order and because she had already had another surgery before this one, since she had undergone rhinoplasty and the result was perfect, without any type of genetic abnormality.
In the statement, she commented that she has scars that formed on her cheeks from when the tissue was removed in surgery. She also added that she cannot lift her lower lip and that a part of her face does not work at all.
Sue the surgeons
The model claimed that she can't move parts of her face, can't close her eyes and can't smile either, despite recovering from surgery and spending £20,000 on unsuccessful correction attempts.
At this time, she has been filing a criminal complaint against the doctors who were in charge of her first operation, who claim that what happened was due to a strange genetic defect.
Those who carried out the surgery, Andrey Komarov and Omar Khaled, insist that the beauty queen suffers from a rare condition called scleroderma.
Scleroderma causes thickened and hard areas of skin, which can sometimes cause problems with the blood vessels and internal organs, due to the person's immune system attacking the cognitive tissue of the skin.
At the moment, no evidence has come out confirming that Yulia suffers from this condition.
The model maintains her position regarding her lawsuit, as she is sure that the surgeons are simply trying to wrongly blame a genetic defect that had not been detected.
The specialists remain under investigation for violating laws on health and life safety, according to the Russian Investigative Committee.
Another specialist forced her to undergo an emergency follow-up procedure, in which her eyes could be saved from necrosis.
A forensic doctor was appointed to determine the seriousness of the damage to the victim's health and other patients are also being identified to determine if they had any type of inconvenience due to the poor service of the clinic.
