What is vocalizing ?

Vocalizing is nothing more than pronouncing or articulating all the sounds of a language.

Will vocalization be important?

Vocalization is very important for life because if you do not learn to pronounce sounds correctly, people do not understand you when you speak.

And in children? Vocalization in children is very important, since it is where they must learn to vocalize correctly. In case there are some difficulties when articulating or pronouncing the sounds, they should be attended in advance and resort to a specialist (speech therapist).

How to vocalize to speak well?

There are several vocalization exercises that can be of great help when speaking, these are:

* Conscious breathing

It consists of maintaining good breathing when speaking and thus improve diction. Correct posture and the muscle below the lungs (diaphragm) are very important in this exercise. How do you do it? Very easy, take the correct posture, inhale until your diaphragm is filled, hold for a few seconds and then exhale.

* Warm up your voice

Several things are involved here: the tongue, the mouth, the face and of course the vocal cords that cannot be absent because they are the most important.

With the tongue you can do various exercises but what matters is to stretch it as far as possible, for example touching your nose, your chin.

With your mouth, open it as wide as you can, inflate your cheeks.

The vocal cords can vibrate the lips, but you can also take various sounds and make them low and high, or soft and fast. Warning: with these exercises your throat should not hurt in case of pain you have to stop because the exercise is being performed poorly.

* Read aloud

This consists of reading aloud a reading, a story, a verse, whatever you want but without haste. This is one of the most important exercises and in children very feasible.

What is wanted with most of these vocalization exercises is nothing more than to exaggerate when speaking so that the brain mechanizes that information and when you go to give a speech or speak in front of your friends, it remembers the movements and the voice come out in a clear and understandable way.

Now there are other vocalization exercises such as: training vowels (correctly articulating vowels). There are also consonants that you cannot neglect. Others may be: reciting tongue twisters, using a pencil. The latter consists of putting a pencil between your teeth and speaking without touching it.

Learning to vocalize is necessary for children's lives, because if you learn to vocalize correctly from an early age, you will not have diction problems in the future.
