100 snakes surrounded the body of a deceased in the United States
More than 125 snakes was in a cage. Among them: black mambas, poisonous species, spitting cobras, etc.
In Maryland (USA) there was a surprising revelation, David Riston, 49, was found dead inside his house, a property that contained more than 125 snakes.
Man raised many of these reptiles. However, it did not have legitimate approval, as some of them were harmful.
Charles County police showed up at Riston's home around 6 p.m. Wednesday after receiving an emergency call from a neighbor, who said he went to visit the man and saw him lying in his kitchen unable to get up.
When the body of the deceased was found, there was no sign that this had been caused by the snakes, according to police data. Riston was sent to the Baltimore Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for a post-mortem examination.
Inside Riston's home, more than 125 venomous and non-venomous snakes of various species were found in tanks carefully arranged on shelves.
Neighbors said they had no information that Riston had turned their house into a snake terrarium.
Jennifer Harris, a representative for Charles County Animal Control, told radio station WRC-TV that the varieties found at Riston's home were rattlesnakes, spitting cobras, black mambas (the most venomous snakes in Africa) and a python. Burmese 4 meters long.
The deceased, who apparently lived alone, had a legitimate license allowing him to keep snakes and reptiles. However, under Maryland law, it is illegal to own venomous snakes, WJLA TV detailed.
