Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier launches a new season
After a rather hectic second season, the third season of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier has finally been released. Titled Highway Star, it's Square Enix's latest content update and will feature new skins, a map, a season pass, bonuses, and much more.
A new map arrives for you to have new adventures
The third season of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier introduces a new map called Midgar Plateside, which includes iconic locations from FF7 Remake such as the Mako 1 Reactor Core, Sector 8, and the Highway. Although the map is a bit smaller, it has plenty of nooks and crannies for fierce combat.
In this new map, the number of players has been reduced to 60. A lot of small immersion features have also been added to the map, such as a day or night theme and Mako pools that deal damage over time.
New quite interesting skins also arrive
The ever-growing list of skins is also enhanced with this update. One of the most iconic characters of all time will grace the world of The First Soldier.
Sephiroth, the main antagonist of the series, is now available in Shinra Advanced Packs. The pack will be available for 300 Shinra Credits or five Shinra Advanced Pack tickets and will feature the character's skin with an alternate version, an emote, and a death effect.
Accompanying Sephiroth is the new skin leveling system aimed at players who have duplicate skins. Now as the skin level increases, more rewards are unlocked. As a login bonus, everyone will receive the Soldier Sample Mako Skin and up to 35 Advanced Shinra Pack Tickets for the next two months.
The “machinist” arrives, to improve your strategies
Highway Star offers even more content as a new style has been added. Called Machinist, the hero is a contraption who carries a hammer for close combat as one of the many tools in his kit.
The Machinist moves around the map with another gadget, while blocking enemy shots with, you guessed it, a jamming device! There is also the Water Materia, which can find enemies even when they are hidden and damage them.
New season pass with exclusive rewards
To top it off, a new Season Pass will be released that will reward players with exclusive skins inspired by the Mako Reactor Core and Jenova, along with other rewards. The season ends on August 31.
