Microsoft will announce a new family plan for Xbox Game Pass
According to some rumors that have been circulating, it is possible that very soon Microsoft will offer a new plan for Xbox Game Pass. As far as is known, it would be about to incorporate a new “family plan”, which would cover a sector that had been forgotten.
Previously, when there was more than one Xbox console in a household, it was necessary to pay for an Xbox Game Pass account for each of them. However, with the arrival of the family plan, with a single account up to 5 people will be able to access.
This is very good news, since it is not limited to members of a single household, that is, you can share your account with up to 4 other people. This makes the subscription end up being cheaper than an individual one.
Of course, this plan will only apply to people who live in the same country, that is, you will not be able to share it with your friends who live abroad.
Xbox copies the business model of streaming platforms
Of course, this business model is not something new, but we can already see it in streaming services such as Netflix, Disney +, Amazon Prime Video and the like. However, it is the first time we have seen it on a video game platform.
