Making the puff pastry bows

This recipe will only take you about 35 minutes total. You will achieve 5 portions that will not be more than 190 calories, for those who keep control by numbers.

  1. Begin by preparing a baking sheet. Cover the base with parchment paper.

  2. On a flat surface, stretch the puff pastry and in the center add the jam. Now, spread it over the surface of the puff pastry in the middle.

  3. On the other half of the puff pastry, sprinkle the sugar and press with your fingers so that it adheres to the dough.

  4. Take the side of the dough, where the sugar is, and cover the other half of the dough, over the jam.

  5. Then, cut several strips vertically, at least 5 centimeters thick. In this way, each strip will be a loop.

  6. Take each strip and close the sides. Then twist one of the ends to shape it.

  7. They should be placed on the tray and baked at 200° for about 12 minutes.

  8. While the bows are cooking, place the chopped chocolate in a small microwaveable bowl. Place it on low heat and program 1 minute.

  9. Then, 30 seconds more, until it takes heat and with a spoon you can take the melted chocolate.

  10. When the bows are done and a bit cool, dip the ends into the melted chocolate.

  11. Place them on a rack to dry faster. If you want to speed up the process, you can take them to the freezer for a few seconds.
