Dates and premieres of Phase IV of the Marvel Universe (16 films and series)
The hype about the long-awaited Phase IV of the Marvel universe came to an end with the announcements of Marvel Studios at Comic-Con San Diego 2019. More than covering what fans expected, Phase III definitely got buried with Spiderman: Far From Home and Avengers: EndGame.
Before presenting this interesting phase, Marvel representatives reported that Avenger: EndGame is now officially the highest grossing movie in history by dethroning Avatar. But many wondered: What's next? Marvel has responded and below we list and give details of everything that will be Phase IV of the Marvel universe.
To facilitate the understanding of the sequence, we chronologically place the films and series that will be presented between 2020 and 2021 and that are expected to further raise the Marvel name, very well represented with the super-grossing The Avengers: EndGame.
1) Black Widow. May 1, 2020
With Scarlett Johansson and Rachel Weisz, this is the well-known Marvel story of the superhero created by Stan Lee and whose first appearance in Comics dates back to the 60s.
2) The Falcon and Winter Soldier. Second semester of 2020
With no fixed release date for now, this series brings us to the well-known Falcon (Falcon) that we already know from the Comics and some films of the Marvel Universe, this time with a complete series to develop the character before different missions and facing villains. Marvel has made a big bet with this Phase 04.
3) Eternals (The Eternals). November 6, 2020
With the beautiful Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek, the latter plays Ajak, who is the head of a group of immortal beings sent by their superiors on another plane known as The Celestials to help the inhabitants of the earth. It should be noted that among the powerful beings that we will see in this film is Thanos. Only with this, many of us want to see it as soon as it arrives at the cinema.
4) Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the ten rings). February 12, 2021
Until hours ago the specific date was unknown but Marvel has shown all Phase IV, titles and dates at Comic-Con San Diego 2019 and this includes this story where the first Asian character is brought to life with his own Comic, Shang-Chi and his adventures facing the villain known as The Mandarin.
5) Wandavision. First semester of 2021
With Scarlett Witch and Vision comes this series where surely we can see more developed the attitudes and skills of both facing enemies and strengthening the new phase of the Marvel Universe.
6) Loki. First semester of 2021
A series that brings us closer to the God of lies and what has happened after Avengers EndGame. Of course, it is striking to see an antihero like this as the protagonist of a series that, like almost all of this Phase IV of the Marvel Universe, will be presented on Disney +, a streaming platform.
7) Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. May 7, 2021
One of the most interesting titles, moving from traditional science fiction to the horror genre. Directed by Scott Derrickson, it would be the first horror movie in the Marvel Universe.
8) What If? Mid 2021
One of the most anticipated series where we will have Jeffrey Wright giving life to The Watcher, that character whose function seems to be limited to monitoring the multiverse but who in one way or another ends up intervening, with which we will have a series with unlimited argumentative resources.
9) Thor: Love and Thunder. November 5, 2021
A fourth installment in the story of the powerful Nordic hero, but this time with the surprise that we will have a female Thor, played by Natalie Portman whom we already saw in the first films only without a full heroine role, which she will now occupy.
10) Hawkeye. Hawk Eye. End of 2021
Hawkeye is a character from the Marvel universe that has always been part of the heroes in the Comics but did not take a leading role in the films at the level of Thor and others, however, now as a Disney Plus series, Marvel has presented this story in its serial format.
6 titles confirmed but no date or casts defined
The last 6 titles have been confirmed as part of Phase IV of the Marvel Universe, but no dates have been given or details have been touched regarding the cast or plot of the stories, for that reason they are at the end of the list, only with their title for that the titles that (for now) are confirmed in this new phase of the Marvel Universe are fully known.
The only thing confirmed in this regard is the participation of Maharshala Ali as the new Blade in the fourth installment of the story after the trilogy that culminated 15 years ago.
