The popular song "Baby Shark" will premiere its own movie
The video that broke a record on YouTube, positioning itself as number one on the platform, will now capture its story through a well-deserved feature film.
Paramount Pictures took the initiative to turn this viral music and lyric clip, which is preferred by children and parents around the world, into a movie.
The producers announced the news through their Twitter account @paramountplus, on February 15 and assured that the film will be released in 2023, they also announced the creation of new films for "Blue’s Clues" and "Paw Patrol".
The Baby Shark video on YouTube was recently shared on the channel of Pinkfong, the brand for children, of the educational and entertainment company Smartstudy, in North Korea, and there it also managed to exceed 10 billion views, a figure never before reached on the platform.
Although it is most likely that the Baby Shark movie will be released in 2023 only by the Paramount+ streaming platform, there is still a chance that it will be shown in theaters. But if it did happen, it wouldn't be the first time, as it was previously released on other screens.
The "baby sharks" had a space on television with the program Baby Shark's Big Show, broadcast by Nickelodeon.
In addition, they were in Pinkfong and baby Shark's Space Adventure, a film released by Netflix in the United States, which was limited and lasted one hour.
The movie Paramount Pictures is working on is expected to be a feature film in the traditional style; which would mean an important advance for the YouTube video, which with only 2 minutes and 16 seconds of duration achieved something never seen before on the platform and captivated both the hearts of the smallest of the house and that of their parents.
There are not many details about the production of Baby Shark. Only it will be co-produced by Paramount, Nickelodeon Animation and Pinkfong Company. Of course, the viral song will be the protagonist, accompanied by new songs that will surely be just as catchy.
Other Paramount Plus announcements, apart from those related to baby Shark, were new content projects for children, including "The Halo Series" and "The Knuckles Show", based on the Sonic episodes.
Finally, they reported that from 2024 all the studio's films will be broadcast exclusively on the streaming platform.
