More than 144,000 people demonstrated in Paris against the restrictions of the pandemic

With a march obstructed by metal barricades, tear gas canisters fired and the use of military tanks to free up traffic, the anti-vaccine protest in Paris ended.

In the early hours of the morning, thousands of vehicles began to mobilize in Paris. A large contingent of public order was deployed, who were placing fines and police controls, who managed to prevent the city of Paris from being blocked.

However, the caravan of cars from all over France, arrived at the Elysées fields in the first minutes of the afternoon. Previously, the Ministry of the Interior had closed all public transport lines.

Police barricades were deployed on the main streets and public order units were located in the most strategic corners of the city.

Near the embassy of Spain, on Georges V avenue, the first violent event took place where the police force repressed sharply.

With tear gas and policemen with assault batons they repressed the anti-vaccine protesters who started the attack. After each attack on the forces of public order, the demonstrators regrouped to carry out an aggression again.

The large police deployment was carried out to prevent the protesters from attacking any national monument. The Ministry of the Interior deployed a large anti-riot team along the Arc de Triomphe square.

The iconic square was protected by armored tanks, police with riot gear and guns with rubber bullets using tear gas as a preventive measure every time the protesters approached.

At least 14 people have been arrested in the fray.

The demonstration, which eventually turned into an act of violence, was continually repressed with tear gas. The "freedom caravan" is an anti-vaccine movement that is also found in other countries such as Canada and New Zealand.

The protesters near the Champs Elysées took the opportunity to express their discontent with the country's president, Emmanuel Macron.

Demonstrations in The Hague

In the same way that happened in Paris, in the center of The Hague they tried to block the passage; At dawn, protesters arrived with trucks and tractors defying the announcement of the local police to evacuate the area.

The organizers of the demonstration issued a statement indicating that they will ignore authority and continue to advance until "fundamental and lasting change" is achieved.

The anti-vaccine movement took to the streets this Saturday demanding the end of all restrictive measures regarding covid-19.
