Book shows who are the Mexican artists linked to drug trafficking
The journalist Anabel Hernández shows famous men and women who had a relationship with drug lords.
The new book by the journalist Anabel Hernández has generated some controversy in the artistic world, since she was in charge of disclosing a wide list of artists linked to people who are linked to the illicit drug trade.
In the book 'Emma and the other narco ladies' you can see a long list of celebrities.

Juan Gabriel
One of the celebrities named in the book is 'El Divo de Juárez'. Anabel Hernández shows that the singer was hired by Ernesto Rafael Fonseca Carrillo, the Head of the Guadalajara Cartel.
This contract was made for Juan Gabriel to animate a private party with special guests such as Pablo Escobar, capos from Medellín and Mexico.
"El Divo de Juárez" accepted the invitation and at the party, one of those present challenged the singer to kiss Pablo Escobar, in exchange for one million dollars, as indicated in the book.
Upon accepting this challenge and fulfilling it, Escobar drew his pistol to shoot the singer. However, the leader of the Guadalajara Cartel, 'Don Neto', interceded to lower the tension of the alleged joke.
Arleth Teran
The actress had a relationship with Edgar Valdez Villareal 'La Barbie', according to anonymous sources. In the information shown in the book, it is ensured that the drug trafficker was obsessed with Terán. Valdez was married and his wife was unaware of his other affair.
In a statement given by the program 'Al Extremo', the soap opera actress stressed that said love relationship never existed and that the story was simply gossip and a 'smoke screen', since she did not know this person.
Serge Mayer
Another of the celebrities named is the deputy, dancer and actor Sergio Mayer. Hernández points out in the book that Mayer is part of the circle of friends of Edgar Valdez Villarreal 'La Barbie'. According to sources, it was seen that Mayer attended several parties offered by the drug lord.
Given this, the deputy commented that his image could have been confused with that of his former partner Charly López in the investigations for the book.
He assured that he is not a person to attend clubs. Therefore, he denied any type of connection with Valdez Villarreal.
In addition, in the statement she added that Anabel Hernández has all her respect, since she knows her professionalism when doing investigative journalism and she is a serious journalist. However, that doesn't mean the sources are serious as well.
Galilee Montijo
The presenter Galilea Montijo, is one of the most striking people in this book, for being one of the most famous in Mexico.
Montijo was accused of an alleged love affair with drug trafficker Arturo Beltrán Leyva, "El Barbas", who was killed in 2009.
After the publication of the book, the presenter asked that the attacks against her stop. Although she did not declare anything regarding the alleged relationship, she assured that she always complies with the laws of the country.
In this way, she denied any type of business, transaction or agreement with 'El Barbas', and with his friend Inés Gómez Mont, who is a fugitive from Justice.
Andrés García
Andrés García is pointed out as an alleged partner of Beltrán Leyva, since the actor had a close relationship with well-known drug traffickers.
In the book you can see that Beltrán Leyva's relationships were not limited only to women from the entertainment world, because he also had a very close and respectful friendly relationship with Andrés García.
Garcia said in statements that, indeed, he knows them all and knew who they were and what they did before.

Ninel Conde
In the book, one of its chapters is titled 'Hot Bombón', a complete reference to the actress Ninel Conde. The journalist assures that Conde is involved in a triangulation of money from organized crime for the purchase of properties.
In an interview, Hernández explained that Ninel Conde was a very good friend of Ricardo Monreal and Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong, the former secretary of the interior.
Upon receiving these accusations, Ninel assured that they are completely false and also indicated that her lawyers are already working on the matter.
Faced with this accusation, the actress has two defenders, one in Mexico and the other in the United States, who prohibited them from giving any type of statement on the subject.
Charly Lopez
Carlos López Ortega, better known as Charly López, is designated as a member of the group of famous friends of Edgar Valdez Villarreal 'La Barbie'.

In 2010, Vázquez, one of the most important members of the Beltrán Leyva brothers' cartel, was captured.
