Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

Anton Guerashenko, Deputy Minister of the Interior, assured that if a bomb were to affect the nuclear waste warehouse, the radioactive dust would cover all of Ukraine, Belarus and a large part of European territory.

After long and arduous clashes, the facilities of the nuclear power plant fell to the Russian forces, according to Mijailo Podoliak, a presidential adviser.

In the statement issued by the Russian Defense Ministry, the attacks of its troops on Ukrainian territory managed to neutralize almost 80 military installations, including 18 radar stations, thus neutralizing Ukrainian anti-aircraft batteries.

United Nations Security Council

The body with the most power in the UN will begin a vote tomorrow to establish a resolution in the face of the war in Ukraine, according to US authorities.

This resolution will be led by the United States government, headed by Joe Biden, to show an international coalition that will confront Vladimir Putin.

These resolutions against Russia seek to portray to the world that diplomatic channels have been exhausted and that they have sought intermediate positions with the Kremlin.

In the case of China, a member of this Council, it has shown a great alliance with Russia, which before the start of the Olympic Games and when Russian troops were already forming up on the Ukrainian border, signed agreements to supply the Asian country with Russian gas for the next 30 years.

Likewise, China has defended the "legitimate" position of Russia's demands on its security.

A senior US official said the resolution would condemn the Russian invasion and the violation of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, demanding the Kremlin immediately withdraw its troops from Ukrainian territory.

After the vote in the Security Council, together with the veto by Russia, the resolution will be taken to a vote in the UN general assembly, where the 193 members of the organization participate.

However, the authorities assure that the resolutions approved by this body are not relevant.

Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the US ambassador to the UN, told an emergency session of the Security Council on the conflict in Ukraine on Wednesday night that the resolution would be debated on Thursday.

Finally, it was delayed a day in the hope of gathering more support.
