Petito's boyfriend, known as Brian Laundrie, is one of the main suspects in the young woman's death, which is why he is at an unknown location, since he was last seen on Tuesday. for his family in Florida.

Around 50 agents have been deployed to search for her, in a wide area known as a nature reserve in the southern state in which it is presumed she could be. This trip that Gabby Petito started with her boyfriend, was a trip in a van in order to be able to tour the United States and thus be able to learn more about the most emblematic places of the country and enjoy each other's company. However, Brian Laundrie returned to North Port, Florida and the young woman is not by his side, which is why the alarms went off. However, they had to spend more than two weeks without hearing from Petito, for the family to go to the police and thus they set the search for the girl.

Petito's family explained to the police that they maintained contact with the girl until the last week of August, which is why they believe that Petito was inside the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.

During a press conference that was held on Thursday, September 16, the Petito family's lawyer explained that the family's last communication with Gabby was on August 30, however, the family believes that the message they reached to receive were not written by her.

However, the lawyer refused to share the content of the messages or the specific reason why they did not believe it was written by her.

· On August 25, there were several text messages between Petito and his mother.

· On August 27, there are more text messages between Petito and his family, more specifically between his mother. During these messages her family believed that she was in Wyoming in Teton.

· On August 30, his last text message was received to which the family affirms that it was not written for it. According to Stafford, that message read: "There is no service in Yosemite."
