Footballer regretted telling about his homosexuality in football
A British footballer starts the debate on homosexual players who are part of this sport, even though the years of taboo have already passed and that at this time it is considered that people are more open-minded to the tastes and differences of others.
In soccer, the players who are part of this community are not yet so comfortable to speak openly about the subject. This issue took hold again when apparently a footballer publishes something about his sexual orientation on his social networks.
"@FootballerGay" was the one who shared this and claimed to be a League Championship footballer "I thought I was stronger. I was wrong. I am not strong enough to do this."
Apparently the player proposed to reveal his identity at a press conference to address this issue, but even the day after doing so he backed off, but before deleting his Twitter account he left a message.
"Call me all you want, ridicule me... Many will do it and I cannot change it". In addition, he adds that he is not strong enough and that he has feelings. This logically triggered the media to pronounce on the issue and also remembered the footballer Justin Fashanu who was the first British footballer to speak openly on the subject in the 1990s and who committed suicide on charges of sexual assault in 1998.
Many provided support for those who want to come out of the closet, and they have not done so out of fear, since an unfavorable environment has been created on the soccer field to talk about it.
