According to experts on the subject, it is possible that in four years you may have a vaccine that prevents the appearance of more cases of HIV, it is said that this vaccine will help the immune system itself create antibodies that attack the presence of the virus. This information undoubtedly important for science and the health area was provided this Tuesday by the infectologist and epidemiologist Jorge Sánchez.

During the 10th World Scientific Conference on HIV (IAS 2019) in Mexico, the vice president of the Center for Technological, Biomedical and Environmental Research in Lima, Peru, assured that this vaccine will be effective for different strains of the virus. It is said that if the creation of such a vaccine is successful, it would help reduce HIV cases in the world population by 65%.

Doctor Jorge Sánchez says; "The vaccine has inserts of several parts that resemble parts of the virus therefore the possibility of being effective for different strains or types of HIV is high."

The vaccine has been worked on for 12 years, it has been tested in apes, these tests are essential to allow evidence if its reaction would be effective in humans.

Many researchers from the National Institute of Allergic and Infectious Diseases, the National Institutes of Health, the HIV Vaccine Trials Network, and the US Army Medical Research and Development Command will be participants in the mosaic project. The tests will be started 3,800 people from countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Spain and the United States. The people who will undergo the tests will be transgender, and men who have sexual relations with people of the same sex, the vaccine will be given in four doses to each patient and in it, they will receive mosaic antigens against HIV for their own body to recognize and therefore activate the immune response against it.

"It is not the virus as such, they are pieces of modified virus that will identify HIV and fight it so that it does not reach any part of the body", Sánchez added.

While it is true that other methods are practiced for the prevention of this disease, but without a doubt they are not entirely safe methods not because of the product as such, but because it is not given the corresponding use; that is to say, every time you have a sexual relationship you must use it, but it is omitted by many of the people in the world.
